  • What is Log Simply?
    Log Simply is a personal activity tracker for anything you want to notice across your days — moods, meals, sleep, headaches, runs, prayers, beers, books read. You set up the categories that match your life and log them with one tap.

  • How much does it cost?
    Log Simply is free. No subscription, no premium tier, no ads. You sign up, you use the app — that's it.

  • How does Log Simply make money?
    Right now, it doesn't — Log Simply is free and built on the side. If enough people end up using it, we may add an optional premium tier later to make the work sustainable. If you sign up while it's free, your account stays free forever — that's a promise.

  • How is my data handled?
    Your logs are stored in a secured database hosted in Switzerland. They're associated with an opaque user identifier — your logs sit apart from your name and email. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with third parties, and we don't train models on it.

  • Does it work offline?
    Yes. Log Simply works without an internet connection. Logs are saved locally and sync automatically the next time you're online.

  • Which devices is it available on?
    iOS and Android as native apps, plus a web version at app.log-simply.com that runs in any modern browser. The same account works across all three; your data follows you.

  • Can I export my data?
    Yes — anytime. From the Profile screen you can export a full backup as JSON, your raw entries as CSV, or a friendly spreadsheet (.xlsx). The exports are yours to keep, share, or move to another tool.

  • How can I import my data from another app?
    There's no universal importer — every tool structures its data differently, so a generic import could never fit them all. Instead, we recommend a quick AI-assisted route:
    1. Set Log Simply up the way you want it: get a feel for how it works and create the categories and entry types that match your data.
    2. Export a Log Simply JSON backup file from the Profile screen — that file becomes your template.
    3. Hand your import files and the Log Simply JSON export to an AI assistant of your choice and ask it to reformat your data into the Log Simply JSON shape.
    4. Import that JSON back into Log Simply, and your history comes along. If any errors occur during the import, simply forward them to the AI agent and let it fix them.

  • How can I delete my account?
    From the Profile screen you can delete your account permanently. All logs, categories, charts and account information are removed. The action is irreversible — export a backup first if you want to keep your history.

  • What are detail fields?
    Each entry type can carry optional details: a note, a duration, a counter and an intensity (1–5). You decide which of those an entry type uses. A "Walk" might capture duration and intensity; "Headache" might capture intensity and a note. Entries you don't want to annotate stay clean.

  • Which languages does Log Simply support?
    English and German today. Both the app and this site are fully translated. More languages will follow — write us at support@log-simply.com if you can help translate.

  • How do the analytics charts work?
    Build a chart by picking entry types and a timeframe — stacked bars, lines, state timelines. Save it to your dashboard. You can have as many charts as you need on your dashboard.
